Soba at Nishishinjuku Gochome

When I’m in the mood for a quick slurpy bowl of soba, I always head to a little grubby shop right next to Nishi Shinjuku Gochome station. If you’re coming from the station take exit A2 and you’ll be there!

The soba in this shop is not famous or anything. It’s not one of those specialty soba places like Kanda Yabu Soba. This place is more for a quick bite, and in my case, it’s kind of a comfort food. I probably wouldn’t traipse out of my way to get this bowl of soba, but having said that, I do find it really tasty!

When coming out of the station, turn to your right. Ta-da, you’re there!
Order from a vending machine. By the way, looking at this picture, I really hate that sweater now. Time to declutter.
Thank goodness for English menus, lifesavers for useless gaijin like me who struggle with the language.
Pick and pay at the machine!
Boyfriend goes for the soba without soup and gobbles it up quickly.
Me, aka Soupy Tee, of course dives into a bowl of soba with soup and nice tempura shrimp!
