Japanese Words I’m Learning – Part 6

I hope everyone is having a very genki week!

This week, I learnt how to say ‘too much’ of something, which is basically the word sugimasu.

So for example:

Karasugimasu – too spicy

Nagasugimasu – too long

Mijikasugimasu – too short

Ooisugimasu – too much

So for example, you could say “Gomi ga ooisugimasu,” which basically translates too “There’s too much rubbish.” (Which is a state I usually find myself in).

Two other words you might find helpful:

Motto – more

Amari – not as much
