A Quick Trip To Munich

I spent my 30th birthday in Munich. It was a very quick trip, but very, very fun nonetheless!

We stayed at the Sofitel – and I think this has to be the most awesome hotel I’ve stayed in so far. I’m not sure whether it’s because the hotel is so awesome or whether because there was a giant bouquet of roses waiting for me then – but whatever the reason, I LOVE this hotel!

How amazing is this?!

Here’s what the bathroom looked like.

The most comfortable bed ever.

We then went to grab a quick bite to eat at a nearby eatery. I know we were in Germany, but we actually went for Italian food.

Started off with some soup.
Risotto for me.
Lasagna for Alex.

I just found this butter dish very cute.
Why does everything seem nicer in Europe?

After that, we went for a walk around the city.

Had a little coffee pit stop.

Next, we went to Dallmayr! It’s very cool, there are tons of nice gourmet food to buy. It also has a 3-star Michelin restaurant which we went to for my birthday (but I didn’t take any photos).

We started at the eating hall.

The next night, we also met Alex’s friend Martin. There, we had a more proper German meal!

I went for the pork knuckle and the smallest size beer I could find.
Look! Urgh! So good!
These German sizes are really big!
Alex went for a burger.

And that is all, friends. A very short but sweet trip, one I hope to repeat one day in the future.
